Mt Cook, Southern Alps plus Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers and Helihike Option

This very scenic flight gives you the best combination of coastal and mountain scenery with the option of stopping at either Mt Cook, Franz Josef or Fox Glacier. Fly from Christchurch over the Southern Alps, via Mt Cook National Park and the see the Glacier icefalls from the air.

If you choose to land at Mt Cook, you can do a ski plane trip from Mt Cook airport onto the Tasman glacier, a snow landing in a helicopter, take a boat trip on the terminal lake and get up close to the glacier face or just enjoy a leisurely lunch and walk around the Mt Cook Village.

If you decide to land in either Fox Glacier or Franz Josef, a glacier helihike is highly recommended, or take a helicopter snow landing flight up onto the glacier.
