FRANZ JOSEF GLACIER – HELI-HIKES

 

Fly from Christchurch over the Southern Alps via the Mt Cook National park and glacier icefalls. Landing in Franz Josef, you then board a helicopter for a short trip up onto the glacier where you are taken on a 2 hour guided hike amongst towering pinnacles and blue ice – an unforgettable New Zealand experience.
