Hugh Robinson is highly experienced in mountain and scenic flying and promises you a professional, friendly and informative approach. Hugh has been flying wing aircraft for more than 20 years’ and has done aviation work for local governments, including DOC, many hunting and fishing safaris, and has been in the scenic flight business for a number of years. 
Hugh is a born and bred Cantabrian who also runs a large sheep and cattle property north of Christchurch (a property that has been in his family for four generations!) He’s a local who has seen and explored some of the most remote parts of New Zealand.

​Ivor Yockney has over 15 years' of flying experience and combines his passion for flying and nature as a wildlife biologist. Ivor specialises in wildlife radio-tracking surveys from the ground and the air and has years of mountain flying experience undertaking such surveys.
Ivor also conducts specialised aerial survey work and tourist charters and has an intimate knowledge of the New Zealand wilderness, including a depth of understanding of its unique natural features and ecological processes.

Safety

Canterbury Aviation operates an immaculately maintained Cessna 185 with full intercoms and GPS navigation equipment. Satellite tracking equipment on board means aircraft movement is monitored in real time ensuring the very highest level of safety.
