Part 1.

You will start in Christchurch and take the TranzAlpine train to Greymouth. 
As you approach the mountainous spine of the South Island you will travel across the Canterbury Plains, passing braided rivers and patchwork fields, before beginning the mountain pass and encountering some of New Zealand's highest peaks and most captivating waterfalls.

Part 2.

When you arrive in Greymouth, Canterbury Aviation will pick you up and bring you back to Christchurch for your spectacular scenic flight. You'll fly south at first, before heading inland to take in the stunning Franz and Fox Glaciers, Mt Cook (NZ's highest peak), and some of our most admired glacial lakes.
